Who I am
This site is run by Elizabeth Ann Johnston, trading as Peace With Pain. You can reach me at ElizabethAnn@PeaceWithPain.today about anything on this page.
What I collect
- Your email address, if you give it to me to receive the book. That is the only thing the form asks for.
- Whatever you write to me in an email, including anything you choose to tell me about your health. You decide what to share.
- Anonymous visit counts — how many people came to the site and roughly which page they landed on. No names, no profiles, no advertising trackers, and nothing that identifies you personally.
I do not ask for your name, your address, your phone number, or any medical records in order to download the book.
What I do with it
Your email address is used to send you the book and, from time to time, a short note with something honest in it. That is all. I do not sell, rent, trade, or share your address with anyone, and I never will.
Who else touches your information
Two services help me run this, and both are bound by their own privacy terms:
- MailerLite stores the mailing list and sends the emails.
- Cloudflare serves this website.
If you pay for a session, the payment is handled by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe, never to me — I only see that a payment was made.
What we talk about on a call
Our conversations are private. I do not record them. I may keep brief notes so I can remember your situation between sessions, kept for my eyes only, and I will delete them if you ask.
Please understand that I am not a licensed clinician, so our conversations are not protected by medical confidentiality or therapist–patient privilege in the way a doctor's or a counsellor's would be. I treat what you tell me as confidential because it is the right thing to do, not because the law compels me to.
How long I keep it
Your email address stays on the list until you unsubscribe or ask me to remove it. Session notes are deleted on request, and in any case when I stop offering sessions.
Leaving, and having your information deleted
Every email I send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and one click is enough. You can also write to me and ask me to delete everything I hold about you — I will, and I will confirm when it is done. You are entitled to ask what I hold and to have mistakes corrected. You never have to give a reason.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. There is nothing here following you around the internet.
Children
This site and these sessions are for adults. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
If I change how any of this works, I will update this page and change the date at the top.
